Sports & Remedial Massage
What can it help with?
- pain reduction (acute and chronic MSK conditions and sports injuries)
- tissue adhesions, tension and stiffness
- increasing mobility
- psychological wellbeing
- recovery
When to book it?
Sports & Remedial Massage is for everybody and EVERY BODY, not just athletes. We all have muscles, tendons and ligaments that we use/overuse/underuse in our lives. No matter what sports, jobs or daily activities you do, your body will almost always benefit from massage therapy. I will tell you when that isn’t the case and what to do instead
Does it hurt?
It shouldn’t, unless it feels like “good pain” or “pain that feels like it’s needed”. We will discuss what this looks like for you and I’ll check throughout the treatment. A whole body approach where the nervous system is regulated allows us to create optimal conditions for tissue healing and changes to happen.
It sounds very clinical, will you enjoy it?
That’s the idea! The sessions blend positive touch, breathwork, flow, and rhythm, which help activate your parasympathetic nervous system (the part that helps you rest, digest, and heal). Cheli combines elements of sports, deep tissue and relaxing massage, creating a treatment that not only addresses specific issues, but can also feel soothing and restorative if that’s what you want. It’s a winning combination of effective technique and mindful connection.
Pregnancy Massage (all trimesters)
What can it help with?
- improving physical and mental wellbeing for both you and your baby
- it’s a safe and beneficial way to reduce the common aches and discomforts associated with pregnancy
- reduce emotional and physical stress
- regular massages contribute to shortening the first and second stage of labour as a growing body of research indicates
When to book it?
Massage is often considered safest to start in the second trimester.
If you’re used to having regular massages, contact Cheli to discuss it. She enjoys having an initial chat on the phone before your appointment to record your medical history, make sure it is safe to go ahead with the treatment and answer any questions you may have. Clients always walk in more confident and relaxed to their appointment after having these conversations.
Scar Massage Therapy
What can it help with?
Issues related to surgery or trauma injury such as:
- pain and limited movement or tightness

- appearance and texture of scars
When to book it?
